November Mission Spotlight: An Update on Al and Deela Dyck

One Sunday a month at Clear River we will place a "spotlight" on one of the missionaries that we support as a church. We will give updates on the prayer needs of the missionary, and pray together as a church family. This month's Mission Spotlight is on the Dyck family.

The following is an updated taken from Al Dyck's new website:

Yes it is true, we are going to America next week to see family. As we consulted with the doctor she said she didn’t think Deela should travel at Christmas and that if she wanted to go, we should go now! So, after sorting things through with school, family, the airline, we are on our way next Tuesday for two weeks!

Deela has been feeling alright this week. She had to have fluid drained on Monday and has been relatively comfortable but is starting feel uncomfortable again. Monday she will get two more units of blood to bring her red blood cell count up and have fluid drained so she can be as comfortable as possible to travel!

We appreciate your prayers as we take this trip, for safety, comfort and no stress for Deela and a great time with family.

Please continue to pray for the Dyck family as they travel to the United States for the next two weeks. Also pray for the Dyck family for the following:
  • Strength and peace as they face the day to day life and the decisions that come their way.
  • New Visas! Al has already submitted his work permit application, so please pray that the process will go through quickly and smoothly.
  • The Dyck children has they cope with their mother's illness; that they continue to place their trust in God, and to function well at school.
  • Ministry in the midst of challenges.
  • Continue to pray for Deela's health.
